Movie Plot: Jamie Rellis (Mila Kunis) is an executive recruiter for a large job agency in New York City, and Dylan Harper (Justin Timberlake) works as art director for a small internet company in Los Angeles. Jamie has to start interviewing GQ and work in New York City to try to recruit Dylan to work. Dylan arrives in New York and learns after an interview with Jamie that he has been offered a job at GQ. Initially skeptical about the job and moving to New York, Dillon agreed to the job after a fun night of exploring the city for Jomi.
The next day, Jamie introduced Dylan to sign the contract so that he could pay his commission for his recruitment. Not knowing anyone else in town, she quickly develops a strong platonic friendship with Jamie. One night they meet on the subject of sex and relationships. They conclude that sex should not come with such emotional involvement. As they both feel the need for a physical relationship, they agree to have sex without feelings or commitment. After several attempts together, Jamie realized that what she wanted was not right and that she wanted to start dating again. She tells Dylan she needs to stop.
