Story Line:

The year is 1974. A group of five close friends are on their way through the back streets of Texas to the potentially barbaric grave of their grandfather. These include Sally Hardesty and her illegitimate brother Franklin. They encounter an unpleasant hitchhiker (Neil) who cuts both himself and Franklin with a wicked-looking knife. The others manage to get the hitchhiker out of the vehicle, but soon after Ward, they are forced to stop and wander to a small, sinister clapboard house nearby in hopes of gasping. None of them realize that the house is home to the gruesome Leatherface (Hansen) and his evil, insane family of cannibalistic psychopaths. One at a time, the teens are murdered in horrific ways by Leatherface. Sally soon finds herself an unwelcome guest at Leatherface’s home, and flees into the night to escape the rabid cannibal and its loud buzzing chainsaw. Can she escape the terrible fate that happened to her friends and brother? Based on the horrifying true story of Ed Gein.
