Story Line:

Frank (Bruce Willis) retires from his government pension, bored and living alone in an equally descriptive home in a non-descript suburb. The only joy in Frank’s life is his call to the Government Pension Processing Center, when he gets a chance to talk to his case worker, Sarah (Marie-Louis Parker). Sarah is bored and lonely like Frank and marks her interactions with the unknown Frank and his detective novels as the only fun things in her life. When something in Frank’s past takes him back to his old job and an unintentional Sara is in the midst of a conspiracy, Frank and Sarah embark on a journey into his past and the people he worked with. Like Frank they are all “rad” – extremely dangerous retirees.

Former CIA agent Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) adjusts himself for retirement and even decorates his home for Christmas. He continues to tear his checks as an excuse to negotiate with Sarah Ross (Mary-Louise Parker), a pensions department employee. Then one day, his residence was attacked by heavily armed masked assailants. He runs away, but his house is destroyed. He meets Sara, kidnaps her and convinces her that she is in danger. He seeks the help of the Russians, and breaks into CIA Headquarters and finds his file tagged as “Red” (Retired Extremely Dangerous). He contacts his former allies: Joe (Morgan Freeman), Marvin (John Malkovich), and Victoria (Helen Mirren), who join him with a plan that will pit him against security forces, especially when he Announces that their agenda is to kill the Vice President. Robert Stanton (Julian McMahon). But things get complicated after Sara is caught and held for questioning.
