After the death of his wife, Ip Man learns that he has throat cancer due to smoking. After fighting against a bully from his rebellious son Ip Ching, he is expelled, and Ip decides to travel to San Francisco, United States, to look for a school. His student, Bruce Lee, has upset the local martial arts community by opening a Wing Chun school in San Francisco, teaching martial arts to Americans, and writing a book on martial arts.
She learns from a colleague and her friend Liang Zhen that a referral letter from the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association is needed to enroll in a school. Association president Wan declined to write the letter because Ip did not agree with the Grandmasters’ opinion on Lee’s actions. After a brief fight with Wan, he leaves.

The fourth installment gives the usual kick. I really wanted to see more new fighting choreography. Recalling the third installment where Master Ip fights with M.Tyson, in the interim he has to sit down with one leg to catch a break, I mean the trick is so mesmerizing don’t you agree ? Jackie Chan is good in this. Turning Ladder.. Umbrella in excellent choreography. Well I think it is Weng Chun. I also noticed that the master took more blows and more injuries from opponents in a fair manner.
Also the old Ip Man portrayal of pain and wobbly arms really convinces that aging is the main factor in ending the 10-year mythological saga in the making of these 4 movies. As for Bruce, you deserve 5 by 5 My Man. It so happened that this is not your story to tell Bruce, otherwise you can steal all the sparks and spangles from the Ypur master. In my opinion the ending could have been skipped. A full closing could have been done in a written caption for the finale. Overall I like it and deserve my 8/10.
